
Alexis R. Balomenos, MD
Dr. Balomenos received her medical degree from Wayne State University’s School of Medicine in 1995 after graduating with distinction and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 1990. Her academic honors and professional memberships include the Tri-Beta National Honor Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics, both national and Michigan chapters.
Dr. Balomenos’ career evolved from dedicated service as an after hours Urgent Care physician at Eastside Pediatric Clinic in Detroit to full-time pediatric professional in the New Baltimore/Roseville-based group practice, Pediatric Clinic, P.C. The creation of Tender Care Pediatrics is a direct expression of her desire to spend more quality time assisting patients and their families.
A Patients’ Choice Award recipient, Dr. Balomenos truly loves her work and values each unique relationship that springs from her service. Her goal is to provide comprehensive, quality care in a nurturing environment.

Anne M. Vondrachek, MD
Dr. Vondrachek received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1998 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Pre-Medicine from Michigan Technological University in 1993. Her academic honors and professional memberships include University and National Dean’s Lists, Blue Key National Honor Fraternity, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, Recipient of the Board of Control Scholarship and the American Academy of Pediatrics, both national and Michigan chapters.
Dr. Vondrachek’s career developed from early experience as a Camp Clinician for the Michigan Diabetes Children’s Association and as an after hours Urgent Care physician at Eastside Pediatric Clinic in Detroit. She later worked as a full-time pediatric professional in the New Baltimore/Roseville-based group practice Pediatric Clinic, P.C., and the creation of Tender Care Pediatrics is a direct result of Dr. Vondrachek’s commitment to the kind of high-quality care that patients and their families deserve.
Dr. Vondrachek truly loves her work and values the relationships she builds with her patients and their families. Her goal is to provide comprehensive quality care in a cheerful, kid-friendly environment.

Douglas Elsey - MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Mr. Doug Elsey (Family Nurse Practitioner) received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor in 2010. He then furthered his nursing career by working at Ascension Health – Macomb Hospital, for 6 years in the Intensive Care Unit, Stepdown Unit, and Progressive Care Unit. While working there, he began to really connect himself with the families he cared for while taking significant roles in the hospital community, such as the Pain Management Resource Nurse, Diabetes Resource Nurse, and the Wound Care Resource Nurse.
Mr. Doug continued his education and training to become an advanced practice nurse by studying at South University in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. He graduated with honors in 2016 and was accepted in the Honor Society of Nursing at Sigma Theta Tau International. During this program, he had the privilege to train and learn from the doctors at Tender Care Pediatrics (Dr. Anne Vondrachek and Dr. Alexis Balomenos).
Mr. Doug continues to devote his time and energy to deliver high quality care for not only his patients but their families and caregivers too. His goal is to continue to provide comprehensive quality care from birth to young adult. He looks forward to meeting you and your family.
